Confirmed: Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood will be joining the cast of "The Hobbit"

It's official guys; Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood will be returning to the big screen as Legolas and Frodo in Peter Jackson's remake of J.R.R.Tolkien's "The Hobbit".

I'm supper excited for this movie! I'm most looking forward to seeing how Peter Jackson will fit Legolas and Frodo in to the movie, as they do not appear in the book.... but all will become clear in the part 1 of "The Hobbit" in 2012.

On his Facebook fan page, Peter Jackson said:
Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I'm excited to announce today that we'll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that's why he makes such a wonderful elf.

Introducing the Superdrug "Beautycard"

Well it's about time, Superdrug!

If you are not familiar with Superdrug, it's a UK-based drug store (similar to Boots) which sells makeup and other products.

Superdrug's new "Beautycard" is similar to Boots' "Advantage Card" which you use in store and earn points with every purcase. I prefer the Superdrug card already - you get 10p for every £1 you spend! That's probably the best deal I've seen yet! (At Boots you only get 4p per £1). However, it is only when you shop online and it's for a limited time. :( But a great deal none the less.

I will definitely be signing up for one :) To find out more about the Beautycard and to register for one, click here.

**I was not paid by Superdrug to make this post, I just thought I'd let people know.**

Facebook has taken over the world

We all knew Facebook was popular, and we probably all either use it or know someone who uses it... But did you know it was this popular:

As you can see from the map, the most preferred social networking site for most of America, Canada, Europe and Australia is Facebook... The major contrasts here are Russia, China, Brazil, Iran and Japan, which seem to prefer alternatives to Facebook, but only time will tell if they will switch.

Do you like/use Facebook? If so, what do you like/dislike about it (or any other social networking site that you use)?

Also, another random question, what do you consider a "social networking site" - do sites like Blogger, Tumblr, Twitter and Chatroulette count?

"Private Peaceful" movie 2011

Heyy guys, got some movie news for you today. As I recently found out, production is in place for the movie "Private Peaceful". Private Peaceful is a book by Michael Morpurgo; it tells the story of two brothers whose lives have been disrupted by the outbreak of World War 1. It's a very touching story and I highly recommend the book. (Click here for a short synopsis.)

The movie will be released at some point this year, but there is no set date as the film is still in post-production. As a fan of the book, I hope the movie will be great too.

IMDb will have the latest as soon as it comes out - so watch this space! :)
