A Summer of Comedy + How Much I Enjoy Wasting Time

Hello everyone :) It's been a while, lol :P

So what have I been up to? Well, I've been off for summer break for nearly a month now and I've enjoyed it so much! It's been a lazy summer for me - I go to bed at 3am and wake up at 1pm without a care in the world.

I've been quite unhealthy too, having little snacks throughout the day purely because I'm bored. I think I finally understand why unemployed people are generally over-weight - there's nothing to do to keep yourself entertained! Day-time television is so dull - unless you enjoy watching news 24/7. I just end-up watching the music channel and then switching over to E! when "Fashion Police" comes on. Also, this week was the first time I watched "The Jeremy Kyle Show", (for those of your outside the UK, The Jeremy Kyle Show is a show where people go to sort out their problems - mostly with their relationships and family. Most of the "contestants" on the show are deemed to be "chavs", which is the sad but honest truth.) Personally, I don't like the show and I think Jeremy Kyle takes advantage of these people and humiliates them - although, some of the time, it really is just their fault and they had it coming.

The regulars on "Mock the Week" - Hugh Dennis, Dara O'Briain and Andy Parsons.

One show I've really enjoyed this summer is "Mock The Week" (a comedy show where a panel of comedians make jokes about current affairs and news stories). It's such a shame that Mock the Week is not showing any new episodes until after the summer. :( But because I love the show so much, I decided to go back and watch every season of Mock The Week :') Yes, I am indeed a very sad person.

The "old panel of regulars": Frankie Boyle, Hugh Dennis, Dara O'Briain, Russell Howard and Andy Parsons.

Another show I've been loving is "Russell Howard's Good News", again this is a comedy show about current affairs but it's a very different format to Mock the Week. I've now seen every episode of Good News and have also fallen in love with the host ;).

While we're on the subject of Russell Howard's Good News; that show has given me inspiration to start another blog. I might soon start a blog about unusual news stories. Anyone who's never seen the show will be wondering why, so let me give you a little backstory - in every episode, Russell has a "mystery guest" where his team invite a person who has been in the news (mostly local newspapers) and the host has to guess who the person is. Also, at the end of the show, there is a segment called "it's not all doom and gloom", which features other, heart-warming stories of people who have overcome great difficulties. It's the loveliest idea and I'm glad they've made it part of this show.

Hope you're having a great summer, and I shall keep you posted on whether or not I will go through with the new blog idea. :)

Just to finish off, here are the links to the shows I mentioned:

First Megan and now Shia - why are main characters of "Transformers" being re-cast?

As a lot of you may know, Megan Fox didn't star in "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon" - she was replaced by supermodel, Rosie Huntington. Now, there are rumours that Shia LeBeouf will not be starring in the 4th installment of the film - he will be replaced by Jason Statham (who just so happens to be Rosie Huntington's real-life boyfriend). Shia reportedly stated on numerous occasions that he wants to move on from the "Transformers" franchise.

Personally, I'm quite upset by this - I'll really miss him! I've yet to watch Transformers 3, so I'm not sure yet if I miss Megan Fox as "Mikaela" - but I'll tell you one thing - I hate it when big movies re-cast their main characters, it just feels like a completely different film.

What do you think? Do you miss the old cast of Transformers? Comment below :)

I love Amanda Seyfried's Makeup!

Heyy everyone! Hope you're having a great week and happy summer holidays!

This is going to be a very random post, but I was thinking about which celebrity is my "style crush" or which celebrity I look up to for health tips etc. and I realised that there are very few celebrities out there who are good role models. So many of our celebrities have very unhealthy lifestyles so they can be a certain weight or look a certain way and with so many celebrities having surgery to look the way they do, there's really very few who look natural.

However, there's one celebrity who I would quite gladly say I look up to for fashion and makeup tips, and that is: Amanda Seyfried!

I love how her makeup is always so simple and yet beautiful. She never seems to wear eyeliner or bronzer. Her eyeshadow is never too striking and she always sticks to neutral colours, and as for lip colours - they are always either very natural lip shades or traditional reds for very formal events.

Very stylish, I would say. Of course, it helps to have flawless skin and decent looks to pull this off! But what I really love most is how she doesn't follow the crowd and doesn't do her makeup like everyone else. :)
